Wes Wollenweber is a founding and managing partner of WF Legal. Wes is a lawyer and mediator with over 23 years of litigation experience in federal and state courts in Colorado. Wes’s practice has evolved over the years into a focus on several areas of housing. Wes has tried a variety of cases in both federal and state court, including several jury trials, and arbitrations pertaining to HOA disputes, employment civil rights cases, Fair Housing matters, construction related issues, non-compete disputes, and various contract disputes. Wes’s primary focus at this stage of his career has transitioned from trial law to mediation. Wes’s key practice areas are:

Wes really believes in WF Legal’s tagline, “Navigating Communities Through the Rough.” After litigating a variety of cases over his 23-year career, Wes has seen the good, bad and ugly that results from litigation and thrives on the opportunity to help his clients get through conflict and back to what they do best. He has seen the conflict of legal cases derail clients from daily lives and he loves the opportunity to navigate clients through those rough cases to a successful resolution so they can move on with life. Wes’s 23 plus years of litigation experience in a wide range of practice areas has taught him to think outside-the-box and find creative solutions to difficult housing issues, and he ardently believes that this ability is his greatest asset for the clients that seek him out.

Wes’s 23 years of trial experience has led him to his current calling as a mediator. Wes’s mediation practice has growing quick since 2014 and parties are selecting him based on his reputation of handling mediations with a different approach and vision.

Wes is passionate about providing education to the housing industry, especially regarding Fair Housing. He also is passionate about giving back to the housing industry by volunteering in housing trade groups such as the Community Association Institute and the Apartment Association of Metro Denver and dedicated countless hours toward educating its members. In line with that interest in education, Wes has published a handbook, “HOAs on the Edge (Dealing with Expectations, Risks, and Alternatives to Community Legal Disputes,” designed to help homeowners, board members, and community managers evaluate community disputes before diving in the deep water of litigation.

Wes’s mission in the law has evolved into a simple goal: to help people out of conflict successfully and move on with the business of life.

Wes is a proud Colorado native, and enjoys his heritage through his recreational pursuits of snowboarding and mountain biking. When he gets the chance, playing blues piano helps him decompress from the daily grind. Wes’s greatest joy is in life spending time with his wife and son.
